Fire in the Evening

22 & 23 February 2018, York Hall

Our first trip to York Hall celebrated two pieces full of fiery magic in very different ways. Beethoven’s red-hot masterpiece of triumph over fate that is his Symphony no 5 was joined by the 20th-century sparks of beauty found in Poulenc’s Concerto for Two Pianos.

Great to see the musicians up close and hear the explanations from the conductor!

Yet again you guys nailed it. You demystify classical music for the common man. That is an art in itself.
